P town

I went out to San Fran this past weekend for P town.  I was treated like a king.  Steve Conway and Kel Mulray were the best.  Kel took me into his home the first night there and had a feast.  His wife and family are wonderful.  The next day he drove me all over the bay area showing me the attractions.  The great tour.  The game was great.  Steve made sure I was taken care of the whole time.  Then to top it off I was presented with a custom fork.  It had been sent around the country to have top people sign it.  Had my records on it also.  Kind of reminds me of the custom bat with wonder boy on it in The Natural.  The fork was going around the country when I broke the world record again.  This fork has some serious mojo on it.  It was presented in front of all the athletes.  I really almost broke down in the moment.  It was all I could do not to cry.  The fork was great, but I think the moment was better.  I will remember that the rest of my life.  Kel worked real hard to do this for me and I feel it.  I don't know why really.  I don't feel really worthy of all the love, but I sure enjoyed it.

At the game I got to see some great friends and neat throwing.  The pro guys were real impressive.  I don't think anyone in the stands sits there and kids themselves they could do that.  You know you watch some things on TV or in person and you say to yourself, I could do that.  Not with these boys.  They are sooooooo good.

I judged the A guys.  Not a bad guy in the group.  I enjoyed my two days with them.  Real good guys.

My friend Mike Baab was there killing his class.  My class.  He looked great and threw better.  I have not seen him in a long time because of my operations.  I spent some time just hanging out and realized how much I missed him.  It was real great to just spend some time.

Had a bible study on Sunday morning at the field.  That was fun.  If you think back to the begining before we got into the church thing, this was how it was done.  Just a few people getting into the word.  It was real special to do that.

I feel like I might have taken another step in the recovery.  I have come back into the gym so easy.  Last night I hit a nice 365 triple in the squat so easy.  Just cake, not even a spot was needed.  I then worked some speed up to a 145 triple in snatch.  I was real fast and easy again.  I might hit some upper today.  Real pleased with the power I have.  Not satisfied by any means, I have a ways to go, but I am on the road there.

I can't wait till my fork comes.  I will keep that in the truck for a while.  I have a sword and an axe in there now.  So why not a fork.  In fact my throwing fork is in there now.  Seems right.

The town here is electric right now.  Alabama football has kicked off and Penn State is coming to town.  They are jacked up here and it is fun.  Can't wait to see the number one team in the country play the boys from up north.  Should be a decent game.  I don't think Penn State can stand up to the grind Bama will put on them for four quarters.  They never let up.  Saban is the master of finnishing.

Loon Mountain is next on my agenda.  Looking forward to this.  Comment to me and let me know what you think?

Yours in steel,

Myles

    Myles,
Your words caused me to feel deep profound pain over the last year. I said this guy is in a major world of hurt, plus I thought you were a good guy. A straightshooter, I tend to really like that quality in people. But seeing as how I had only met you once I knew that due to the distance one has to go a little farther than write or call to let the other know that they care. I like creating things and fiddling around with stuff. I'm happy you liked the creation and my baby is going to a good home were it will be loved. Were more than friends we became extended family. Your a brother from another mother.
