More pulling

OK first the good news.  I pulled 585 Tuesday night.  Was wonderful.  I smoked it also.  It is on you tube.  Funny how the simple act of picking something up can stir so many emotions.  Now I am very happy about it.  I rode home from the gym like a king.  The only way I would have been more king like is if I had a camel.   Spectacular feeling that lasts for days.  In fact it is still riding.

I had missed the lift 15 days prior.  I filmed that one also.  It was eating and eating at me.  Now for the last 5 weeks I have had a nasty cough.  I think it was from a sinus infection dripping down.  I did not have a doctor as my last one flaked out and dropped me.  Of course he also got arrested for hitting his wife.  But anyway, I saw the new doctor this week.  Tuesday in fact.  He gave me some antibiotics, a shot and some pills, then a shot of decadron.  I let that work for about 5 hours and pulled the 585.  The cough is gone.  Might have been the pull that did it.  Talk about medicine.

The doctor thought I was doing great.  My colesteral is high, ,so we are going to medicate it.  OK.

Now the deadlift also stirred other emotions.  My family.  My wife and her side are worried I am going to die.  And I am, just not soon.  They don't exercise.  Nothing.  And I don't drink, well I do some wine for my heart, but that is all, I don't gamble, I don't drug, I don't run around, I am a good father and provider.  But the fact I work out too hard makes them upset.  Sorry.  You will have to do better than that.  I am not slowing down or backing off.  It is one arguement after another and I am now just shutting the people out.  They won't know what I do in the gym, that way they can be free of my worries.  The doctors are happy, I am happy and now they will be happy.   I will let them know I rode the bike.

I also had my machine in my chest call the heart doctor.  I lay this pad over the machine in my chest and hook it up to the phone.  It calls in and narcs me out on anything.  They called back a while later and said all is great.  So yea.

Last night I hit a 355 incline.  Well I hit 335, then 345 and then needed a small nudge in the middle of my rep with 355, so really I missed it.  I did do 275 for a smoking 8 reps.  I mean killed it.  I have to start thinking 10.

Jim McGlynn anybody?  Miss my man.

Don Stewart had a heavy operation this week.  Fantastic athlete.  One of the best I have ever seen.  Big, strong, agile.  He had to have the ball cut off in the shoulder and a new one put on.  Ouch.  His throwing shoulder.  The poor guy had not been able to lift his arm.  He has tried and tried to avoid this.  The big Boston man is a great guy once you get to know him.  Tough son of a gun.  We need more Don's in our world.

My main man Craig is doing well.  He is frustrated that after a whole 6 days of rehab his knee is not ready.  I mean not even a week.  He is going to be real good.   Tough as nails.  So strong the rehab guys have no idea what they are really dealing with.  I told Craig to just speak percentages to them, the numbers would blow them out of the water.

The godfather, big Paul has a new hip.  The guy box squatted 535 with the last one they put in at 16 weeks.  Is that the neatest thing ever?  535 at 16 weeks out with a titanium hip.  Big yea baby for that.

MWR is doing well.  He has to get his belly button put back in.  It is now an out e.  Yep he blew it out.  He then did an 800 dead.  Yep, after the herniation he pulled 800.  Very sick wonderful man.  I love this guy.  Spoke to him last night.  Can't wait to be on the field with him again.  He has a wob world record on his mind.  And I think he will do it.

K monster and I are working at building our gym up.  I think we are doing great work with the people.  We just have to move the old guy out as he is horrible training people.  The guy does stuff so old and not thought out it is amazing.  Just throws anything out there for people.  Then calls himself coach.  OK miestro.

I will be posting more here now.  Getting ready for the season and my mind is very hungry.  Yours in steel,

Myles

Yes, yes, I hear you! Sorry that I have been UA for so very long. Thanks, for your encouragement Myles! I have been in the funk of funks. Never gone so long in such a stupor but, that is behind me. Awakening came at the hands of the squat Saturday. A mere 425x4 but, I will not be settling for swimming in the shallow end for long. Thanks for your kind words, Brother!
