Kay
We lost Kay this past Saturday. We all knew it was coming, but does not make it easier. The man asked his wife if he would be remembered. How could anyone ever forget the man. He was larger than life. 6'5 and 409 pounds. He was almost something out of a cartoon, he was such a figure. I loved Kay very much and was one of the lucky ones and I got to tell him. We will be at the memorial this Saturday to honor the man, the legend.
My training has been stressed to the max with my losses this past month. But I am still pounding it out. Hit a nice 335 incline last night and then got 275 for 7. Hit a nice shoulder and tri after that and really got after it. Right elbow is talking to me for some reason. Seems when I do heavy french curls that happens, but they make the arm large, so what ever. I can take the pain if it looks swole. I am going to work some bicep today while I am at the gym working.
Kearney and I are doing well with the gym. Have a couple of new people joining up this past week. My regular people are doing very well. Progress is so intoxicating and it is real cool to see people making it. To see people get strong in the real lifts and it change them is cool. The people are supposed to be customers, but you build a relationship with them and it becomes more than that. You can see the development of them and remember back to when you were at that stage. It is cool.
Reading a new Dan Johns book on bulking. I think everyone knows my love for mass. Amazing how many things in the book I do, like I helped him write it. Dan is an excellent trainer and of course a highland game athlete. Very solid.
I had an idea of pulling 315 for 20 reps in the dead on Monday and then went and did sets of 50 with extensions. I about fell down. I was sore. You would think my thought process would be never again. Now I am wondering if I can do 365 for 20.
I saw Dr. Cain recently. Was great to see the man while I was standing and healthy. That is a change. This guy is the best in the world. No ortho on earth is better. He cut my dad for a nerve problem and typical Dr. Cain. I fixed it. And you know, he did. He had to look at his work on my quad of course. Told me he watches my videos. Loved it.
I have been throwing some. My feet are not good right now. Got to do some stairs as Petur G would say. So that and some dot drills are on the menu.
My fork is in this issue of Milo with the story of them giving it to me in P town last year. Very cool. Any time your in Milo, it does not get to any higher ground. This is 3 issues in a row for me being published there. Paid to write, am I now an author? Still a meathead.
Yours in steel,
Myles
